JOINTING OF PAVING
Product: UltraScape Flowpoint [Flowpoint / Fine / Smooth / ECO / Premium / Premium Smooth] rapid-set flowable slurry jointing mortar by Instarmac Group plc, supplied in Australia by Prolific Stone International (03 8751 8880).
Colour: [Natural Grey / Charcoal] or, for Premium, [Stone Grey / Limestone / Yorkstone].
Performance: To conform to BS 7533. Minimum compressive strength 49.6 N/mm² at 28 days. Bond strength >1.5 N/mm².
Joints: [__] mm wide (within 2 to 50 mm Fine; 4 to 50 mm Smooth and Premium Smooth; 5 to 50 mm Flowpoint, ECO and Premium), filled to a minimum depth of 20 mm, void-free, in one application.
Preparation: Joints clear of debris and standing water. Paving and joints pre-soaked and kept wet throughout jointing.
Mixing: Full bag mixed with the manufacturer's stated water quantity using a paddle mixer for 3 to 5 minutes. No re-tempering.
Application: Placed with a rubber/neoprene squeegee, joints topped up as required, surplus removed, surface cleaned with a soft brush and water once the initial set is reached.
Protection: No foot traffic for 1 hour and no vehicles for 4 hours at 20 °C (adjust for temperature). Washings must not enter stormwater.
Trial: Carry out a trial area on the specified paving before full installation.
